BASIC SEA SURVIVAL / WATER SAFETY

Sailing and Motor Cruising are two of the safest leisure sporting activities and 99.9% of participants will never use their life-raft. . . however if you are one of the unlucky few, your chances of survival will be greatly increased if you understand how to use the equipment and how to help yourself.   During this one day course, which is based in our fully equipped classroom at Bisham in conjunction with a local modern indoor heated pool, you will experience using a life jacket, a life-raft and it's associated equipment and you will spend valuable time doing practical drills in a life-raft. This course is an approved Boatmaster Licence ancillary course, qualifying the holder for all water categories - A, B, C and D.

If you have your own life jacket we would recommend that you bring it along and use it for the course(please note buoyancy aids are not acceptable). If you do not have your own life jacket one can be provided for you use during the course (please see optional extras on our booking form)

You will need to bring your normal off-shore sailing clothing and footwear for use during the pool session.   Please also bring a packed lunch, a change of clothing and a towel.

As with all our courses, course numbers are small and tea and coffee are provided.

RYA / MCA Basic Sea Survival / Water Safety

Tuition fees are     £120(inc. VAT @17. 5%), per person per day.
Hire of life-jacket   £25(inc. VAT @17. 5%), per person per day.

The course timings are 0930hrs start and we finish after the pool session at approximately 1700hrs.
