RYA / MCA Sea Survival / Water Safety
Sailing and Motor Cruising are two of the safest leisure sporting activities and 99.9% of participants will never use their life-raft. . . however if you are one of the unlucky few, your chances of survival will be greatly increased if you understand how to use the equipment and how to help yourself.
During this one day RYA Sea Survival course, based in our fully equipped classroom at Bisham in conjunction with a local modern indoor heated pool, you will experience using a life jacket, a life-raft and it's associated equipment and you will spend valuable time doing practical drills in a life-raft. This Sea Survival / Water Safety course is an approved Boatmaster Licence ancillary course, qualifying the holder for all water categories - A, B, C and D.
If you have your own life jacket we would recommend that you bring it along and use it for the Sea Survival course (please note buoyancy aids are not acceptable). If you do not have your own life jacket one can be provided for your use during the Sea Survival course (please see optional extras on our booking form).
Please bring a change of clothing and a towel.
A light lunch can be purchased within the main centre or bring your own. Hot drinks are available from our coin operated vending machine.
