Bisham Abbey Sailing and Navigation School offers Boat Safety Scheme inspections by authorised independent qualified Examiners. We will travel to your own mooring or venue or you may bring your boat to the School on the banks of the River Thames at Marlow.
Our service is available for first time inspections, or second inspections falling due after the initial four year period expires. The fee for the inspection is variable, depending on the size of the craft and the equipment onboard etc.
If you do decide you wish one of our Examiners to inspect your craft please telephone to obtain a quotation, download our BSS inspection application form or we can send you one, complete and return it to us with your cheque. We can then establish, by telephone, a mutually convenient date, time and venue for the inspection. (Please try to give us approximately 7 – 10 working days notice). The inspection fee is payable when booking, the certificate fee (£30. 00 from 1st April 2007) will be payable when the certificate is issued, on the day of the final inspection. In the event of your craft not passing the inspection, no certificate fee is due. There will be, however, a re-inspection fee of £60 (inc. VAT) when your craft has been modified.
