One day course, small numbers.
The aim of this course is to give an understanding of the use
of Radar in small boats as an aid to navigation and for collision avoidance.
This course is intended to equip the yachtsman with sufficient knowledge so that, with practice, he can fulfil the requirements of the Collision
Regulations when using Radar in conditions of reduced visibility and learn how to utilize its benefits to the full as an aid to navigation.
‘Radar Afloat’ by Tim Bartlett is the official background reader to the course (published by Fernhurst ISBN 1-8986-6071-9).
