Sailing School Receives Royal Visit At London Boat Show
Friday 13th January 2012
Roy and Tom were thrilled to receive a visit on our stand at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show on Wednesday 11th January from HRH The Princess Royal.
Her Royal Highness was interested in all the activities running at the School, particularly dinghy sailing for youngsters and to hear that the School has been training some of the employees working on the Olympic site in Stratford in water safety. Being the year of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, Her Royal Highness was also intrigued to hear that the Duke of Edinburgh had visited the School at the National Sports Centre during the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in 2002.

Continental Cruising
Sunday 13 November 2011
Roy and Jan have recently returned from 15 days exploring and experiencing the mighty Rhine River and the Moselle between Amsterdam and Basel.
They encountered very few small vessels but were extremely impressed with the boat handling skills of the professional Skippers they encountered. A wary eye was kept open for signage to add to our extensive CEVNI presentation but very few additional ones were noted.

Pauline Quirke learns the ropes at Bisham
Friday 14 October 2011
Congratulations to Pauline Quirke who joined us today for some boat handling tuition on the Thames. Pauline spent the day with our Principal Tom Sowerby learning some tricks and techniques to make even the smallest mooring seem spacious! So after a couple of locks, some tight turns and a few man over-board drills, amongst other exercises, it was back to Bisham for a well earned certificate. Well done Pauline!

Congratulations Tom & Camilla!
Monday 10 October 2011
Our School's Principal Tom has recently returned from his honeymoon. He married his fiancé Camilla recently at St. John the Baptist Church in North Baddesley, Hampshire and many of our staff, past and present attended the service and later enjoyed the reception in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral.
A lovely weekend, not in any way marred by the severe rain, thunder, lightening and power cut during the reception! Tom and Camilla (a very competent sailor), met whilst taking part in the 2005 Fastnet race.

Dutch Barge ‘Le Coq’ returns to Bisham having undergone major surgery!
Friday 30 September 2011
She has been re-plated and now has a nice new smooth bottom and smart canopy over the stern deck providing shelter from the elements for our clients. The work was carried out at Eel Pie Slipways and they did a magnificent job in engineering and design.

David Walliams visits us!
Friday 9 September 2011
David Walliams continues his epic swim to raise money for Sport Relief. We were thrilled that he, Prof. Greg Whyte his trainer and swimming buddie, together with his entourage of 45, physio's, camera men, sound recordists and production team stopped and took a well earned rest, together with tea and biscuits and cake at the School.
